Bix Firer

Bix Firer is a professional outdoor educator who has worked instructing rock climbing, backpacking, and facilitating outdoor experiences for over a decade. Bix directs a college outdoor program, training aspiring outdoor professionals and leading them, from the classroom, to the climbing wall, to the backcountry. In his free time, you'll find Bix exploring the mountains, deserts, and rivers of Idaho on bike, boat, ski, and foot. His preferred adventures take him deep into the backcountry on multiday trips. Bix is constantly using his gear professionally and personally and has a reputation for destroying any outdoor equipment that isn't built to last.
