Megan is an outdoor enthusiast who grew up paddling the waters of Lake Coeur d’Alene. While getting her Bachelor’s degree in Education she spent summers on Fan Lake teaching kids about the outdoors, and then went on to teach Health and Fitness at international schools in Cairo, Egypt and Bangkok, Thailand. Upon her return to the States she spent a season in Glacier National Park taking visitors into the wilderness on horses. For six years she supervised an Equine Therapy program for at-risk youth which included taking kids on their first overnight camping trips in local and national parks. Recently, as a part of completing a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, she took a “Leadership and Hardiness” course which culminated in summiting Mt. Adams, the second highest mountain in Washington State. Recent expeditions include rock climbing trips to Utah, Arizona, and Thailand, backpacking in the Enchantments, and whitewater rafting the Spokane River. She loves paddleboarding in the summers and cross country skiing in the winters, and hanging out with her leash-trained adventure cat.
