This gourmet coffee maker is made to be used in the home; however, since it is only a single piece that does not require electricity, it can also be used for camping. It will, of course, require more careful packing and handling, but the Hario Ceramic Dripper functions just as well as the plastic dripper in a camping environment. Better actually, when you consider that it holds in heat better than the plastic version. This makes it more versatile than some of the other camping coffee makers because it allows you to buy only one coffee maker — with no compromise whatsoever in flavor — for both home and camping use.
