Our Verdict

The Breeo X Series X24 is built with longevity in mind. It uses heavy-duty stainless and corten steel capable of withstanding weather and years of use. The X24 comfortably accommodates up to 6 people, and its smokeless design keeps smoke from clinging to clothes and hair. It's one of the most expensive fire pits on the market, and its hefty construction is best suited in a semi-permanent spot, but if you're looking for a statement piece and a fire pit built to withstand the test of time, the Breeo x24 is worth a look.

Our Analysis and Test Results

Heat Output

The Heat output from a fire pit can make or break a comfortable night around the fire. Our testers took infrared readings directly inside the pit, reaching up to 950 degrees. Plenty hot enough to keep groups and families warm even on colder nights. The steel construction helps radiate heat outward, and the wider cylindrical shape is ideal for stacking ample wood for larger fires.

We also measured each fire pit's efficiency using timed side-by-side burn tests with identical wood and weather conditions. During our burn time test, the Breeo ran for 50 minutes using three medium-sized logs. At just 50 minutes, it's slightly less efficient than similar-sized pits.

Smoke Management

Our testers noticed that the Breeo required some effort to achieve a smokeless burn. The thicker steel walls take time to heat up, creating more initial smoke than some competitors. Once we reached the secondary burn, the smoke was largely dissipated. The key with the Breeo is to keep feeding the fire with fresh fuel (wood); otherwise, smoke tends to creep back up quickly.

Portability

This is not the fire pit to buy if weight is a high priority. The Breeo X Series 24 weighs 62 lbs and has a diameter of 27.5". There are no designated handles or carrying points on the Breeo, and the one obvious carrying location on the steel rim has sharp edges and is prone to slipping.

In short, the Breeo x24 is one of the least portable fire pits we've tested, with a clear emphasis on durability at the expense of portability. Though it's very heavy, it's not necessarily a dealbreaker if you have a designated spot in the backyard or patio where the Breeo can live year-round.

Ease of Cleaning

The lack of an ash pan or removable tray makes cleanup more tedious and time-consuming. Cleaning involves manually scooping ash with a shovel or vacuuming out ash. The raised vent channels on the floor of the pit create another layer of difficulty when cleaning, blocking the shovel from an easy scoop path. Additionally, the thought of tipping the pit over to dump ash is quickly put down when you consider its massive weight. In short, there's no easy way around cleaning the Breeo.

Should You Buy the Breeo X Series X24

If you're searching for a durable fire pit ideal for backyard get-togethers, the Breeo X24 is a great option. It offers unmatched construction, and its smokeless design avoids smoke clinging to clothes and irritating eyes. It has a steep price tag and isn't the easiest fire pit to clean, but it's guaranteed to last.
