Our Verdict
The Anker Solix PS200 is a solid solar panel overall. It's slightly above average in power efficiency and will generate enough power to keep your power station charged all weekend. It's very portable, too. It's easy to carry, load, and unload in your car's trunk. It has some of the longest kickstand legs, which allow for a lot of versatility in angling the panel at the sun. It has relatively short charging cables, though. It's also quite expensive compared to similar panels from other brands that perform as well. But if you're looking for a reliable 200-watt solar panel from a reputable company, this is worth considering.

Panel Updates
Since we tested the PS200, it's been updated to be 10% lighter and features a new design that only folds once instead of the previous tri-fold design. It also has panels on either side, so it can collect sun from the front and the back. We're linking to the latest model in our review.

The Solix PS200 is a very efficient panel. It consistently generates a lot of power in direct sunlight.
In our solar charging test, the Solix PS200 generated 166 watts per hour. That's not the most efficient, but it's near the top tier among all the panels we tested.

The Solix PS200 is also very portable. There are only a handful of panels that weigh less than this model, and it's easy for one person to carry.
It only weighs 17.1 lbs pounds. It folds down to a 22-by-24-inch rectangle that's 2 inches thick.

It folds easily, so taking this panel down is a cinch. It has a carry handle and a magnetic closure to keep it closed. We like this closure system because it's not ideal when you're walking to set up your solar panel, and it's trying to unfold in your hand.

It also has some of the most adjustable kickstand legs of any panel we tested. These legs have snap buttons to hold the legs at your chosen angle. You can adjust the legs to 30, 40, 50, and 80 degrees.

Dislikes
The Solix PS200 is pretty easy to set up overall, but it has a couple of drawbacks in this department, too.
The MC4 charging cables are shorter than average. This makes it more difficult to find a place to set up your solar panel in the sun while still keeping your power station near where you need it. We find that keeping your power station in the shade is best for performance, but the shorter charging cables make this difficult.

Should You Buy the Anker Solix PS200?
You should buy the Solix PS200 if you're looking for a reliable 200-watt solar panel from a reputable brand and don't mind paying more for that. There are more efficient folding solar panels available, as well as several that cost less. There are also lighter panels that cost less. But many of those panels are from brands that haven't been around as long as Anker. So if you want to buy a solar panel from a brand you already know and trust, we think this model is worth considering.
