Our Verdict

The EcoFlow Delta 3 is a well-rounded power station highlighted by its fast charging, expandable battery capacity, and solid display. It has no glaring weaknesses, though it is slightly larger than comparable competitors in the 1,000 wh class, and it's a bit strange that EcoFlow left three of the AC outlets ungrounded. That said, this power station can reliably supply power for off-grid camping, emergency home backup, and remote work.
REASONS TO BUY
Fast charge speed
Intuitive display
High surge rating
Expandable battery capacity
REASONS TO AVOID
Half the AC outlets are ungrounded
Slightly heavy for its size class

The delta 3 was a star in our charge speed test. Taking just 50 minutes to complete a full charge with an average charge rate of 1,299 Wh/hr. This was even faster than EcoFlow's own advertised time of 56 minutes. This makes the Delta 3 a great option for last-minute recharges before heading off-grid or preparing for a power outage.

We always appreciate the interface on EcoFlow power stations, and the Delta 3 follows that trend. The large LED display is easy to read, and all power/charging information is readily available without having to toggle through a menu or app.

The Delta 3 is also expandable to 5,000 Wh, making it a great option for anyone who wants the flexibility to scale their power needs down the road.

Dislikes

Though the Delta 3 features 6 AC ports, just half are three-pronged, grounded ports. This can be a bit frustrating when utilizing multiple appliances at once. Thankfully, the three grounded ports are spaced nicely, so you shouldn't run into any issues with larger plugs or adapters.

It's also slightly heavier and larger than competitors in the 1,000 Wh class. The long, narrow shape doesn't always bode well in storage spaces, and it weighs 28.2 lbs, just heavy enough that it can become a nuisance to lug into a campsite or carry across the house.

Should You Buy the EcoFlow Delta 3?

The EcoFlow Delta 3 is a fantastic power station that excels in supplying off-grid power. It charges quickly, has impressive power output for its size, and can be expanded for more battery capacity. It does feel a tad heavy for off-grid camping and travel, but it's not a deal breaker and may not matter given all the positives of this power station.

What Other Power Stations Should You Consider?

Light and easy to carry, the Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is our favorite 1,000 Wh power station for short camping trips and occasional home backup power. We are also big fans of the Jackery 2000 v2. While it weighs 38.9 lbs, it's far and away our favorite power station for extended off-grid camping setups, thanks to its 2,042 Wh battery and 2,000 watts of power.
