Our Verdict

The Jackery SolarSaga 200 is a great all-around 200-watt solar panel. It's lightweight and folds into an easy-to-transport package. It's also very efficient for a folding 200-watt panel. This thing pumps out some serious power. It works best within Jackery's ecosystem of batteries, power stations, and solar panels. If you don't have a Jackery portable power station, you'll likely need an adapter to use this panel with that battery. Jackery often sells solar panels and power stations as a package, and while we haven't seen this panel sold with a power station yet, it would be a great deal if you found that.
REASONS TO BUY

Light and portable
Well-made
Has USB-A and USB-C ports
REASONS TO AVOID

The SolarSaga 200 is one of the best panels at turning sunlight into electrical energy.

In our side-by-side solar panel testing. We connected every panel to an identical Jackery power station and left them charging in the same location. During this test, the SolarSaga 200 generated 171 watts per hour.

Compared to other 200-watt panels, the SolarSaga 200 generated more energy per hour than average. Its output was 86% of its claimed wattage, too, which is quite good.

The SolarSaga 200 is also very portable.

On our test scale, this panel weighs a mere 14.2 pounds. There aren't any folding 200-watt panels that weigh less than this. If weight and ease of carry are your top concerns, you should choose this panel.

It also has a built-in handle with a magnetic closure, which makes packing this up and hauling it away even easier. It also makes deploying the panel at your chosen solar power station location a cinch.

The biggest downside to the SolarSaga 200 is that it isn't the most user-friendly.

It sets up easily and quickly, but only if you have a Jackery power station. During our testing, we used a Jackery power station. But if you already have a different power station from another brand, you'll have to purchase adapters for that battery separately.

We also noted that the kickstand legs aren't the most sturdy. In a strong wind, this panel could easily blow over. The low weight doesn't help in high winds, either.

Should You Buy The Jackery SolarSaga 200?

The SolarSaga 200 is a great deal for a top-performing solar panel. It's incredibly efficient at turning sunlight into electricity. It's also one of the lightest folding 200-watt panels we tested, and it has other great features that make it portable. It's easy to use and set up, especially when paired with a Jackery power station. And while the MSRP is pretty steep, we often see this panel discounted. If you're going to buy this one, you should wait until it's on sale again. You probably won't have to wait long.

What Other Solar Power Stations Should You Consider?

For an even more powerful folding solar panel, check out the EcoFlow NextGen 220W. For a folding 200-watt panel that's just as efficient but costs even less, check out the Renogy 200W Portable. For a lightweight option for mounting on your new van build or RV, consider the BougeRV Arch 200W Flexible, which requires no drilling or hardware.
