Our Analysis and Test Results
The AllTheFit is the most mobile and comfortable legging in our lineup, which makes it our favorite pair for a daily yoga practice. It checks all of the boxes for comfortable mobility better than any other pair, including a breathable roll-over waistband, unmatched shape retention, an H-shaped gusset for full hip rotation, and silky four-way stretch. All of our testers love stretching out in this legging.
Comfort & Fit
Our lead tester has been a yoga teacher for close to a decade and is impressed by all the details in the AllTheForm leggings that add up to a limber fit. Many stretchy leggings are able to achieve a flattering or skin-tight fit, but this one blows away every other pair we tested by providing our ideal experience of stretch, shape retention, and silky-smooth skin feel.
Vuori cut the silhouette in a way that looks classy on our curves and is functional for even our bendiest testers. The waistband is extra high, sitting above the navel, and has a roll-over design. The four-way stretch in the fabric keeps the waist band smooth against our stomach without restricting deep breathing (a non-negotiable in yoga class). The material has an incredible balance of silky glide and matte grip for arm balances. It is our ideal balance of silky-smooth and slight peachy softness, so it is no issue when our legs rub against each other or across our yoga mat without unwanted friction or added heat.
A detail that really sets the AllTheForm apart from many yoga leggings is that Vuori designed the waistband's connecting seam into a V-shape. This does more than complement our hips and make our bum look perky. The V-seam aligns with our body more naturally than your typical straight-line cut at the waist. The V-seam follows our natural body contours to accommodate deep hip flexion when we sink into a Dragon Lunge or pretzel into a lotus pose. The material is 26% elastane, which is quite high, and accounts for the above-average four-way stretch that we love.
Compression & Support
Vuori's AllTheForm offers more compression than the company's AllTheFeels legging. While still light compared to dedicated training options, they are slightly more sculpting than most yoga leggings. Who said yoga and dance don't have moments of high intensity? The AllTheForm hits a sweet spot in movement classes where you want a legging that walks the middle path of “not too tight, not too loose.”
The AllTheForm tights are super stretchy yet still slick, with the shape retention of serious training tights. Imagine the hardest mobility class you have ever been to, like an acro-yoga jam full of handstands and arm balances or animal flow with powerful and grounded movements; these handle that kind of intensity with just the right amount of sculpting compression. That said, they are better for yoga and may not provide enough suction for heavy lifting or running.
One of the things we appreciate is that the compression in these leggings feels very consistent from the hips down the legs. Remember yoga classes where you were frustrated in a pose because loose pants got caught in your elbow or knee crease, or, conversely, too-tight pants pinched those same creases. If you want yoga leggings with just a little compression, the best options have evenly distributed compression so they move with your body comfortably.
Breathability
The AllTheForm ranks among the highest in our breathability metric. We tested the air permeability of all leggings materials, and the AllTheForm's material ranks among the top three when it comes to letting air flow through the fabric. Our testers appreciated the extra air on the legs during hot desert hikes and in sweaty yoga flows. During our cardio tests, the material felt thin and refreshingly light. In hot yoga studios, you have a solid hour and a half to marinate in the sweat sauna, and that can be a nightmare if your leggings trap heat. We didn't have that problem with these Vuori leggings. They let our legs breathe, making them an awesome choice if you regularly switch between heated and non-heated yoga classes.
Vuori uses its patented BlissBlend material in the AllTheForm, which, along with its high elastane content, is also composed of 74% Polyamide (nylon), which absorbs very little moisture compared to natural fibers. Our testers agree that leggings with great moisture management need both fibers that don't absorb much sweat and a knit that moves sweat away from the skin and helps it to evaporate quickly. The AllTheForm leggings nailed it.
In a hot yoga class, we noticed that the AllTheForm's material didn't pool sweat in common areas like the panty zone, lower back, or behind the knees. The material spread it out so that it evaporated quickly when we left the steamy room. It distributed moisture evenly, so we never got the pee-in-my-pants vibe that happens with less-wicking leggings. If you've ever worn a pair that gets that giant and concentrated sweat patch, you know exactly what I mean. Thankfully, the AllTheForm is a sweat-it-out-quickly pair, and our favorite option for hot yoga.
Durability & Recovery
We love the AllTheForm for having some of the best shape retention of any leggings we tested. When we pull the fabric, it comes back into place with a satisfying snap. This is still true even after months of testing. They are a very resilient studio legging (as we would expect from the premium price). However, you'll want to keep your fancy pants to indoor studio or gym use as they aren't built for rough handling or burly days on the trail.
The AllTheForm looked almost like new after a series of wash cycles, and we didn't notice any fraying or fade in the material. We even ran it through the dryer a dozen times for a stress test (air drying keeps your leggings looking new for longer), and the material still looked smooth without any surface fuzzing. We didn't trust the thin material enough to wear the leggings on any backpacking trips. A yoga legging doesn't need to survive granite and our backpack hip belt to be resilient when its best life is on the mat and not the mountain.
This is an incredibly long-lasting option for low-impact movement and casual wear. We don't pretend that they will hold up to scraping against sandstone; the AllTheForm's true durability is its phenomenal long-term shape retention, which continues to wow our testers who teach yoga.
Versatility
The AllTheForm isn't our most versatile legging in terms of activities since it doesn't cross over well to HIIT workouts, running, or adventuring in the great outdoors. However, it is the pair we pull on when we want to crossover into comfy lifestyle wear. It looks very sleek, and our testers wore it to fancy lodge dinners. If you're a leggings-everyday kind of gal (even on rest days), consider these your new staple pair.
It is rare to find a legging that is excellent for all types of yoga. We love its comfort in restorative classes, its stretch in vinyasa, its slight grip for arm balances, and its breathability in hot yoga. Beyond yoga, it is a great fit for Pilates and light cardio. As a former dancer, our lead tester found her favorite pair to dance in after testing it at ecstatic dance meetups.
We love that these leggings have pockets, but you don't really notice that they have pockets. They are slim and low-profile, and the elastic fabric works well to snug in a phone.
Should You Buy The Vuori AllTheForm?
If your main form of movement happens in the yoga studio, the AllTheForm is one of the most comfortable fits that stays breathable every way we twist and turn our bodies. If you are a minimalist yogi, then it's definitely the only pair you need in your drawer. If you like to wear leggings even on days when you don't have a workout planned, they blend in seamlessly with a casual wardrobe. They're not great for high-intensity workouts, and the fabric is a little thin to wear on more challenging hikes or for climbing. However, by a long shot, they are some of the most comfortable (and best looking) leggings to stretch in, and our testers feel it has the makings of a timeless classic in the stretcher's world.
What Other Leggings Should You Consider?
We also love Vuori's more lifestyle version, the Vuori Daily, which has an attractive blend of a legging's compression and jogger fit. They look even more like casual wear than the AllTheForm. For women looking for the coziest yoga legging, nothing beats the pajama softness of the Beyond Yoga Spacedye Out Of Pocket. The material is a ten out of ten on the softness score, and they are also a warmer option if you are stretching in a cooler environment.
